PROUTY ORGANIZERS TAP KIMBELL ENTERPRISES TO ORGANIZE NEW DOUBLE CENTURY BIKE RIDE AND FUNDRAISER

[Lebanon, NH] April 7, 2008.

The Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center have engaged Charlie Kimbell of Kimbell Enterprises to organize The Prouty Ultimate, a new fundraising event that ties into the 27th Annual Prouty Century Ride & Walk in July.

"We are very excited about working with Charlie and we're excited about our new two-day, 200 mile bike event," said Jean Brown, Executive Director of the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center. "We have been looking at ways to leverage our success of the Prouty and give committed fundraisers and serious cyclists a more challenging event. Charlie's done a great job of creating a beautiful route and fully supported ride, and he's got the elevation just right for bikers who like to be tested! He's really good at what he does."

Kimbell is the co-Director of the very successful Covered Bridges Half Marathon and has been connected with that race for the past 12 years. In 2007, he served as Race Director for the inaugural Road to the Pogue, a running race on the grounds of the Billings-Marsh-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock. He has been putting together various events for over 20 years.

"It is an honor to be working with the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer," said Kimbell. "They do great work to fight cancer and they are passionate about their mission. The goal for the Prouty Ultimate this year is to establish a high quality event, worthy of the commitment and dedication of the participants, each of whom is raising $2,500 per person. We are really going to take care of these riders."

The Prouty Ultimate will be held on Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th. For more information about the event, visit www.theproutyultimate.org.
